SUMMER ABROAD AND YEAR ROUND PROGRAMS IN COSTA RICA

Our 2009 summer abroad programs have a duration of two weeks, five weeks and 4 weeks). Year round courses are either 12 weeks or semesters. Intensive Spanish is 4 weeks. The total credit hours depends on each university if credits are requested, but the programs are open to all undergraduates or independent students. No proficiency in Spanish is required since all courses are totally in English language. Please fill in our request form for more information.

Visit Costa Rica is a study abroad provider agency dedicated to organize successful programs to prestigious universities worldwide Some of our clients are:  Southeastern Louisiana University, Nicholls State University and University of West Florida.  Our services provides custom made summer study abroad tours in business, sociology and criminal justice, marine biology, marine turtles, culinary sciences, health management, Spanish, service learning, biodiversity, art and honors programs. Services include first class specialized lecturers, visits to renowned transnational and Costa Rican industries, visits and lectures to public institutions, private and public universities, all the logistics of tourism related services and 24/7 assistance to students and staff. We customize each program according with the need and requirements of our costumers.
Our highly qualified and professional team has a solid group of permanent lecturers, specialized guides, and important contacts with political and economical figures that have enabled our students to meet with presidents (Dr. Abel Pacheco and Dr. Oscar Arias), the president of the Supreme Court of Justice, many members of the Costa Rican Congress, presidents and CEO’S of corporations and organizations such as the Industrial and Commercial Chambers.  Currently Visit Costa Rica coordinates six study abroad programs during the Summer, the wide variety of Spanish and 12 week elective courses offered by Veritas University in San Jose, and  art tours offered year round .  
Our programs offer the opportunity for university students to enroll in challenging, interactive courses, enhanced by excursions, guest speakers, and tours. Study abroad adds an invaluable dimension to a student’s academic, cultural, and professional development. Firsthand experience of other countries and cultures provides a clearer understanding of ourselves, our own society and culture, our place in the global community, and our common human heritage. The overall objective of our programs is for students to learn as much as possible of the economic, cultural and social life of Costa Rica and its friendly, educated and polite people, that are always ready to see that foreigners enjoy their country, of which they are very proud.  Awareness of these differences and similarities help develop a deeper understanding of the close relation with the American culture, its influence and differences.
