The 2007 Culinary Study Tour of Costa Rica will take place in different locations during a ten day period. .   Special attention will be provided to experiencing local food ingredients and lunch restaurants will be carefully chosen for this purpose.   Four lectures with top Costa Rican culinary experts will provide important experiences, at INA, the Interamericana University and two top lecturers/chefs that are considered the top experts and who have written the main books on this field in our country.  Furthermore,  a demo Creole and Canjun cooking at Barcelo Playa Langosta Resort and and a visit to two cheese factories, an artesanal and the second biggest cheese factory and the coffee tour will provide learning experiences as well.  Students will have access at all times to telephone and internet services. Your base hotel is Hotel Balmoral, a four-star hotel located in the heart of downtown San José. The Monteverde hotel is a small rustic hostel well located at the entrance of the Cloud Forest Reserve. The Arenal Volcano hotel is right in front of the volcano and hot spring mineral water pool, walking trails, spa and restaurant. The beach resort is a four star all inclusive resort where all meals, drinks and activities are included.  A Visit Costa Rica guide will be will the group the entire length and will provide assistance at all times.
